Sky and Virgin have always been at loggerheads. The giants have never left any stone unturned behind in trying to get a one up over the other. After the launching of Sky 3D the competition went many notches up and the next generation TV viewing format had already arrived.
Virgin Media now offers many a 3D features to its 3D subscribers in order to score over arch rivals Sky. The interesting part however here is not many are there in terms 3D customers. The 3D format although has caught everyone’s attention is yet to become reasonable enough for the mass people to opt for it.
Virgin is offering classic 3D movies, animated movies and many other interesting 3D programs. Starting off with Street Dance, Garfield’s Pet Force, A Christmas Carol, Step Up 3D and Despicable Me. All these features will be shown in the next generation 3D format.
This does ensure some great entertainment for Virgin subscribers, but the interesting part is how many will have access to these 3D services. They are more than expensive at £6 for a twenty four hour service. Then again comparing things with Sky, Virgin still has a lot to do. The mega 3D block buster Avatar again should be making its TV premiere only on Sky.
This with the fact being that owner Rupert Murdoch has the rights. Sky always leads the pack in the UK. When it comes to satellite broadcasting it was Sky which launched one revolutionary technology after the other. Right from the earlier versions of Digi boxes to the recent HD technology, to the next generation 3D technology, it is Sky that works best for the customers.
Sky HD Box: Sky HD Box is the HD service which is provided by Sky Digital. Sky HD Box provides many channels in HD.
